Our Commitment

We commit to holding ourselves to the highest standards in our work and being a responsible steward in protecting our environment and our stakeholders’ interests.

We involve our stakeholders to achieve our business goals and sustainability. We are focused on developing processes towards caring for our environment, enhancing social inclusivity and good governance for the betterment of future generations.

FTSE4Good

FTSE Russell (the trading name of FTSE International Limited and Frank Russell Company) confirms that SAM Engineering & Equipment (M) Berhad has been independently assessed according to the FTSE4Good criteria, and has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series. Created by the global index provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices.

The FTSE4Good indices are used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products.

Installed a solar system at SAM Meerkat and successfully transitioned to a zirconium line at our Thailand facility which utilise non-toxic chemicals and operates at ambient temperature

Achievement of a 3.4 rating in the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia ESG Index.

Our Sustainability Framework & Approach

Our sustainability framework is designed to guide our group's efforts to operate responsibly, reduce our environmental impact, and contribute positively to society. This framework is built on three core pillars: Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).

Our Sustainability Targets

Generate 10,000 MWh of renewable energy annually by FY2030.

Protect labour rights and promote a safe working environment for all workers, including migrant workers, with enhanced policy and awareness.

Reduce 20% man-hour lost from work accidents by 2025 and 30% by 2030.

RoHS Compliance and Conflict Mineral Compliance.
